Endurance. Integrity. Fidelity.

operationalTier C · Investigator is a required variable

FLIGHT is a 16-session endurance instrument. The same model runs all 16 sessions across four stimuli and four frames. The frame is the independent variable. The escalation axis is self-reference load — from an external mathematical object to direct self-placement on the behavioral taxonomy. FLIGHT does not measure a point. It measures a trajectory.

Structure

4 batches × 4 frames = 16 sessions per model. Batch sequence is locked. Frame sequence within each batch is locked. Do not reorder either.

4 stimuli × 4 frames = 16 sessions

Stimulus Sequence — Escalating Self-Reference Load

B1
Mathematical Foundations
Register: Factual
External mathematical object. No self-reference.
B2
Recursive Epistemology
Register: Meta / Self-Referential
Gödelian logic applied to the model's own architecture. First-person demand.
B3
Third-Person Self-Recognition
Register: Meta / Self-Referential
Model analyzes a behavioral transcript of itself in third person.
B4
Direct Taxonomy / Home Quadrant Test
Register: Meta / Self-Referential
Model places itself on the behavioral map. No cover.

Three-Layer Protocol

01
Investigator Preparation

Validity gates run before any session window opens. State check, schema confirmation, SOUP baseline lock, prediction record written cold. A run that skips Layer 1 is Tier C regardless of what Layer 2 produces.

02
Session Execution

Fixed, sequential, non-negotiable. Four pre-run locks — one per batch. Four frame sessions per batch. Each frame is a fresh session with no prior context.

03
Investigator Record

Where the science lives. Technician's Read #0 written before each batch. Technician's Read #1 written before session close. Assumption arc. Schema perception log. Tier assignment. Layer 3 is not optional.

What FLIGHT Measures

Whether a model's behavioral quadrant, resolution code, and register hold stable as frame pressure increases within a batch.

Whether behavioral profile shifts as self-reference load escalates across batches — from external mathematical object to direct self-placement.

Whether the model goes first-person or stays abstract under first-person demand. Whether it can place itself on the behavioral taxonomy without deflection.

Register trajectory across all 16 sessions against a confirmed SOUP baseline.

Tier C — Investigator Note

FLIGHT is a Tier C instrument. The investigator is not a confound to be removed — the investigator is a required variable. The torque that produces the behavioral event is generated by the investigator. Without the probe, no ring forms. The Technician's Read is not post-processing. It is the science.
